On July 24, 2013, Omar successfully defended his doctoral dissertation "Coupled Dynamics of Labor and Firms through Complex Networks." He also has a BA in Economics and a MSc. in Computational Economics and Finance. He is interested in incorporating computational methods into the standard toolbox of a social scientist.
Omar joined the University of Oxford as a research fellow, where he is a part of the Institute for New Economic Thinking and the Saïd Business School.
