All at See: Visualizing High Dimensional Data

Edward J. Wegman,The Bernard J. Dunn Professor of Information Technology and Applied Statistics George Mason University

For a number of years, I and others have been developing techniques for visualizing high dimensional data. Some of our favorite techniques include parallel coordinate plots, the grand tour, and saturation brushing. When used in combination, these methods provide an excellent means for doing visual data mining. In this talk I will describe these methods and demonstrate how to use them with several data sets.
