After a successful defense of his doctoral dissertation entitled “Multi-agent Model of Development Aid Projects in the Afghan Counterinsurgency,” Seyed Mohammad Mussavi Rizi was awarded a Doctorate degree from the Department of Computational Social Science on May 19, 2012.

His dissertation committee was comprised of Professor Robert Axtell (Chair/Dissertation Director, Computational Social Science, George Mason University), Asst. Professor Andrew Crooks (Department of Computational Social Science, George Mason University), Professor James Gentle (Statistics/Astronomy/Computational Science, George Mason University), and Francesco Luna (Senior Economist, International Monetary Fund).
